Some terrifc results :

12 year old Alexander Ryan swimming the 5km for only the second time won a gold medal for his age group beating the second place getter by 7 minutes and qualifying for Open Water Age nationals

Jess Traficante won Gold in the 5km and Gold in the 10km -a very gutsy effort.

Dylan Appelqvist - achieved 8th placing in the 10km - another great swim.

Entries close: Wednesday 25th March. Use the Entry Form Here and hand to coaches.

The club will provide the Salads and Meat for a BBQ on Saturday Night - but you need to let us know if you are coming by Sunday March 22nd for catering purposes. BYO Drinks and nibbles to share - no glass please.

Swimmers are requested to bring in their Plaques on Friday March 27th and hand them to Fiona Tulloh

We need all hands on deck for both nights and remember : wear warm clothes.

 

 

 

Bell's & Foxy's Development Meet 4 - 21st March

Some excellent swims - Well done everyone!. Every swimmer that attended received a ribbon.

The PB King award goes to Liam Barber who sliced off 22 seconds in his 200m Butterfly.

The PB Queen award goes to Rachael Albertson-Kill with a 3 second PB in her 100m Butterfly.

A big thank you to the Senior Squad for their help on the day.

ACT Championships: March 13-15

Some exceptional results!

We bagged 13 Gold Medals, 11 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals !

The PB King award goes to Dylan Appelqvist who sliced 112 seconds off his 1500m Freestyle - even though he was the only competitor swimming as the other competitors had pulled out. Dylan managed 10 PB's out of 15 swims! Great swimming Dylan!

Eli Gatica knocked 16 seconds off his 200m Freestyle time.

Kate Schmank, Cormac Pearson and James Hanson achieved 100% PB rates. Well done!

Telopea Boys came in 2nd in the Boys Point Score ! Dylan Appelqvist, Alexander Ryan and Eli Gatica were our best point scorers!

The great overall results are a testiment to the hard work all the swimmers and coaches are putting in.

Speedo Sprints:

Congratualations to all our swimmers that competed in the Speedo Sprint Finals, special mention to our medalists:

Ayu Barry: Gold in 50 Backstroke; Silver in 50 Freestyle.

Alexander Ryan: Silver in 50 Butterfly and Bronze in 50 Backstroke.

Telopea sadly says farewell to Mal.

Thank you for all your enthusiasm and the great efforts you put into our swimmers. You will be fondly remembered by everyone.

Australian Open & Age Open Water Championships:

28 Feb - 2 March

Gusty efforts from Jessica Traficante and Dylan Appelqvist last weekend.

Dylan did a 8 minute PB and was placed 7th for his age group. Not bad for his first National Open Water swim.

Jessica did brilliantly - on Saturday her 10km swim won her a Silver Medal in the Women 17-18yrs Division.

She was back in the water on Sunday for a 5km swim . Jessica again won Bronze in the Women 17-18yrs Division but came first for her age group. A monumental effort Jessica!

Jessicas' goal is to become part of the Australian National Team - she is well on track! - Good Luck Jessica!

 

 

NSW Country Championships: 21 - 22 February

Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part. There were some brilliant swims and plenty of PB's.

Highlights: Country records broken, club records broken and ACT Residents record broken ( to be offically confirmed) and Ayu Barry - a new National Qualifier. Congratualations to Heather Middleton who achieved another National Qualifying Time.

Swimmer of the meet must go to to Alexander Ryan who swam 9 events and had a 100% PB rate. Alexander won 2 Gold medals ,2 Bronze medals and 3 Final ribbons. Excellent work!
